Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

Are you going to be in Ocean Isle Beach this weekend? You should! The weather is supposed to be beautiful, and the Museum of Coastal Carolina is hosting a “Protect Our Sea Turtles” event this Saturday, March 12th at 11:00 am. The Islander Coordinators for the Ocean Isle Beach Sea Turtle Protection Organization, Deb and Jim Boyce, will be on-hand to teach you about sea turtles, their nesting habits and what we can do to protect them.

The OIB Sea Turtle Protection Organization is a volunteer program that monitors sea turtle nesting and rescues sick or injured sea turtles. In addition to their rescue and nesting programs, they also hold frequent sea turtle educational events in North Carolina like the one at the Museum this Saturday.

So don’t let this opportunity slip by, head to OIB to learn about sea turtles, enjoy our beautiful weather, and stay in one of our oceanfront hotels in Ocean Isle Beach!

Wednesday, March 9th, 2011

Brunswick County, NC Golf CourseLast month, our friends at The Pearl Golf Course in Ocean Isle Beach hosted the Tournament Golf Association of America’s 2011 Myrtle Beach Classic. And we are happy to announce the event was extremely successful! According to Steve Moses, the Tournament Golf Association of America tour’s Chief Operating Officer, “The service received was excellent and both courses were in great shape. If you’re planning a trip to the area, you must stop at The Pearl.”

The Pearl’s Michael Borton said, “We are always excited to have the TGAA Tour at our facility. The TGAA team was first class and we love having the opportunity to host their group each year. We thank them for their continued support of our courses. They are always welcome at The Pearl, and I hope they consider The Pearl their home course away from home!”

Never played at the The Pearl before? The best way to experience it is with one of our Ocean Isle Beach Stay and Play Golf Packages! You will play at both their East and West Courses and stay at our Ocean Isle Beach oceanfront hotel.
