Our friends at The Pearl Golf Club in Ocean Isle Beach, NC launched their monthly contest yesterday! December’s lucky contest winner will be playing 9 instructional holes with Class A PGA Head Pro Jimmy Biggs, but this month’s winner will go out in style, winning an Adidas Clima-Warm Fleece Sweater, t-shirts and golf balls. The Adidas fleece is ideal for playing in the winter, as it insulates but is not bulky, allowing your swing to be uninterrupted! To enter, “Like” The Pearl’s Facebook page and click on the “Contest” tab to enter. The contest will only be open for a couple of weeks, so enter today!

We are excited to announce that The Pearl, Ocean Isle Beach’s premiere golf course, will be hosting the 2011 TGAA Myrtle Beach Classic, one of the most prestigious Pro-Net Tours in the Mid-Atlantic. The thirty-six hole event will be on February 19th and 20th, 2011 and The Pearl will also host the post-event awards banquet.
The Tournament Golf Association of America tour’s Chief Operating Officer, Steve Moses, said this of the partnership with The Pearl: “We are very proud of the partnership we have developed with The Pearl Golf Course and are thrilled to have them host the TGAA Myrtle Beach Classic for the second straight year. They were wonderful hosts to the tour for our 2010 event and it was an easy decision to return. The players gave high praise to the staff for their attention to detail and to the quality of the courses…Our players are every bit as excited as The Pearl Golf Course and the local Calabash community to have this event”.
Michael Borton of The Pearl is eagerly awaiting the event. “We were able to host their major event in 2010 and are excited to host this event again. Both courses provide the challenge and setup that these Pro-Net golfers want to see.” We welcome you to “Stay and Play” with The Pearl and the Islander Inn of Ocean Isle Beach, NC. Hope to see you there!
By far the greatest attribute about vacationing in Ocean Isle Beach, NC is that you never run out of things to do! This is especially true about golf. While yours truly is not the greatest golfer (an 80s or 90s are a great day) I most certainly have my favorite. Hands down that is The Pearl, just a 10 to 12 minute drive from us here at the beach. With two 18 holes courses to choose from, you can play twice.
